1 Corinthians 3:3 | July 4

1 Corinthians 3:3 (NKJV)

for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

[Happy 4th of July! God bless America. May America continue to support Israel and enjoy God’s blessing and favor.]

Christians can be carnal. To be carnal means to be under the control of fleshly or worldly appetites. Remember, Paul is addressing the church of God in Corinth…them that are sanctified.

A person doesn’t lose their salvation when they live in carnality, and it does not mean they are not saved. Rather, carnality means a sanctified believer is behaving like the world.

What does the world look like? Paul describes it, envy, strife, and divisions. We want to be different in the Church, we want to stand out from the world and be spiritual rather than carnal.
